After you view the service, here are a few questions to think about and discuss with your family or small group:
- As we begin this study of Romans, share one idea (impression, verse, theme, etc.) you already know about the book of Romans.
- In Romans 1:1, what are some things Paul communicates to you when he identifies himself as: “a servant of Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God?” How do those phrases challenge or inspire you?
- In Romans 1:5, Paul says: “through Jesus we have received a gracious apostleship.” How is that different from a job or duty? How is that reason for gratitude?
- Romans 1:6-7 says we are called too. Do you feel called? How would you complete this phrase about yourself: “[Your name], called to be ___________?” How does that impact how you live, or how you want to live?
