After you view the service, here are a few questions to think about and discuss with your family or small group: 

1.  The Jesus ethic is to love God with all our hearts, and to love God by loving others.  How does Stephen embody that?  How is racism the opposite of that?  Do you agree that following Jesus means we commit to love people of other races whatever the cost?  Why? 

2.  Talk about the problem of racism.  Why is it uncomfortable to talk about it?  How have you viewed it?  What flawed thoughts, feelings, attitudes, and behaviors do you recognize in yourself and in your family?  

3.  How can you choose love over self-interest, and commit to justice, mercy, and compassion for other races?  How can you make choices, vote, listen and learn, pray, and talk honestly with those close to you?  Where can you begin?
