1. What do you think about when you hear the word “peace”? How does the biblical concept of “shalom” differ from our usual idea of peace?  How is it the same?   (The Hebrew word for peace is shalom, which means wholeness and completeness.)

2. Share about one material possession that you treasure. Why is it special to you?  What does it make you think about and feel?

3. What did Mary treasure in her heart (Luke 2:18-19)? How do you think that contributed to her sense of peace? 

4. What has God done or said that you treasure? Share a Bible verse, story, or an experience.  How can treasuring and thinking about the promises and provision of God help you to experience more peace?
