1. How have you seen God’s grace in your life recently?

2. How do you see God’s grace in Israel’s calling and history as God’s people? What is the mission they were called to carry out? How did they do in accomplishing it? 

3. Why didn’t the outward ritual (keeping the law, circumcision) reflect an inward (heart) reality for the Jews? How do you see that discrepancy between external behavior and a real heart for God in people today? In yourself? 

4. How does the Holy Spirit bring hope? How do you think the Holy Spirit brings about real inward transformation? How is our participation and effort needed? Try to share personal experiences or examples if you can.
