Pastor's Message

Welcome to the Cerritos Baptist Church web site. We are so glad you want to get to know us a little better. We have been serving the City of Cerritos
and the surrounding communities for 27 years . . . that’s a long time. And during that time we have learned that life can be both wonderful and hard. Recently I took a cruise to Alaska. We went with my wife’s extended family and what fun we had . . . eating, dancing, seeing spectacular scenery and wildlife, and most importantly, hanging out with each other.

We desire for our church to be like that, celebrating the goodness of life, and enjoying our God and our friendships with each other.

But we all know that life is not always like that. We experience broken relationships, sickness, depression, loss of loved ones, disappointment, etc.
And we here at Cerritos are facing those same things. We are struggling with the “hardness” of life. Yet we have discovered that Jesus Christ accepts us with our problems and helps us to deal with them. We certainly have not overcome all the trials of life but we have found One who will see us through them.

And we want to be a community that reflects the grace of Jesus. We seek to embrace the hurting and the hopeless and help them through the tribulations of life. We believe that Jesus Christ and His church can make a difference . . . and we hope we can make a difference in yours.
