Jane Yee - Worship Service Program and Arts Director

Jane Yee has been at CBC since 1985 and joined the CBC staff as the part-time Drama Ministry Director in 2000 after retiring from 19 years as an optometrist. She started serving voluntarily in 1994 as an actress (then director in 1995) after her husband, Bart, came home from church in 1994 and said, "You know, you may want to think about channeling some of that emotional roller coaster ride (because her special needs daughter, Lessa, was so challenging!) into something positive (i.e., some acting in the drama sketches at church). That rekindled Jane's love of acting (which she shelved back in high school), and started her on a journey of classes, theater productions, film work in the industry, and volunteering in the church until she joined the staff in 2000. She went on to full time ministry the following year when she also took on the responsibilities as the Sunday Worship Service Program Director. She only has time to do a few occasional outside productions but enjoys the wonderful opportunities at CBC to work with her beloved drama artists, as well as other worship artists including dancers, writers, singers, poets media and communication artists. Jane has also extended her responsibilities to another passion, Building community and Hospitality at CBC where she oversees event planning teams and ministries that raise the Welcome meter at CBC! She thanks God for the diverse plans He has for her at CBC!

Jane lives in Orange County with her husband, Bart. She has three kids, Brett, Cory, and Lessa and three cats, Furball, Bandit, and Pouncer. She loves to act, sing, read, swing dance, and have a good laugh.
