Gary Tawa - Senior Pastor

Gary Tawa has been the senior pastor of Cerritos Baptist Church for the past 27 years. He was born and raised in Gardena and grew up attending Gardena Valley Baptist Church where he became a Christian. He graduated from arguably the greatest academic institution in America, the University of Southern California. He then attended and received his Master of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena. Gary lives in Cerritos with his wife, Valerie, and has four sons, Timothy, Nicholas, Jonathan and Joshua. He enjoys reading, fly fishing, date night with Valerie and is an avid Laker fan.
